[2026 China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Ministers’ Roundtable Meeting was held in Nanning] On September 17, the 2026 China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Ministers’ Roundtable Meeting was held in Nanning, Guangxi. Representatives from relevant artificial intelligence departments of China and 11 ASEAN countries, relevant envoys from ASEAN countries stationed in China, and representatives from key artificial intelligence enterprises, scientific research institutions, and financial institutions in ASEAN countries attended the event. In the roundtable exchange session, the guests conducted in-depth dialogues and discussions around the development, governance, application and industrial cooperation of artificial intelligence with the themes of artificial intelligence safety ethics, data and security cooperation. A number of important cooperation results were released at the meeting, including the ASEAN-oriented Artificial Intelligence Ethical Safety Cooperation Initiative, a number of AI safety technology products and industry solutions, case collections, and cooperation results in the fields of talent, industry, education, traditional Chinese medicine and other fields.
