[TSMC plans to return to Longtan to set up a factory, prioritizing processes below 1.4 nanometers] On September 18, it was reported that TSMC decided to return to Longtan to set up a factory. The supply chain revealed that Longke’s third phase positioning will prioritize advanced processes below 1.4 nanometers (A14), and initially planned three wafer fabs. The first fab is targeted to be completed around 2030 and enter mass production preparations. The overall investment scale is estimated to exceed NT$1 trillion (approximately US$31.4 billion).
