[U.S. approves nearly $2.7 billion in arms sales to Ukraine] September 19th, the U.S. State Department announced on September 18, local time, that it has approved an arms sales plan worth $2.68 billion to sell equipment and services related to the development and upgrade of air defense systems to Ukraine, and has notified the U.S. Congress of this. The U.S. State Department stated that this arms sales plan will further enhance Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
