Many satellites have applied on-board intelligent processing on a large scale] September 19th, at 18:50 on September 19, 2026, Beijing time, the Long March 2D carrier rocket successfully launched four synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites independently developed by Galaxy Aerospace into predetermined orbits at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the "one rocket, four satellites" manner. The reporter learned from the Galaxy Space Department that the four satellites launched this time are equipped with high-resolution SAR payloads, on-board intelligent processing, on-board mission planning and other payloads, which can realize real-time processing of remote sensing data in orbit. So far, Galaxy Aerospace has successfully launched 53 independently developed satellites, including more than 10 SAR satellites. According to Duan Xiao, chief engineer of Galaxy Aerospace’s SAR satellites, many SAR satellites developed by the company have achieved large-scale on-orbit application of on-board processing loads.
