[World Organization for Public Science Literacy Officially Unveiled] On September 20, at the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Conference on the Promotion of Public Science Literacy held in Beijing, the World Organization for Public Science Literacy was officially unveiled. The World Public Science Literacy Organization is an international science and technology organization supported and initiated by the China Association for Science and Technology. It was registered and established in Beijing in June this year based on the resources and international partner network accumulated from holding the World Public Science Literacy Promotion Conference over the years. Currently, there are 32 founding members from 21 countries in Asia, Europe, South America, Africa and Oceania. According to reports, the World Public Science Literacy Organization will work with member units to promote exchanges and cooperation, deepen collaborative innovation, promote positive interaction between science and technology and society, jointly improve the public's scientific literacy, and help the intelligent society develop for good.
