[UBS: Global capital expenditures in the AI field will rise to US$1.4 trillion in 2027, 90% of the increase will come from memory price increases] "Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" reported on the 20th that UBS currently predicts that artificial intelligence capital expenditures will be close to US$1 trillion in 2026, and will further rise to approximately US$1.4 trillion in 2027. The main reason behind this growth is the sharp increase in memory costs. UBS estimates that memory-related spending will soar from US$71 billion in 2025 to US$367 billion this year, reaching US$923 billion in 2027. The remaining AI-related costs are expected to be US$631 billion in 2026, falling back to US$525 billion in 2027. This means that the increase in memory costs this year will contribute about 60% of the increase in AI capital expenditures; and by 2027, as expenditures on other components decline, the increase in memory costs will even exceed the entire net increase in AI capital expenditures.
