[Indian Oil Corporation approves US$256 million natural gas pipeline project in southern India] On September 21, a stock exchange document showed that Indian Oil Corporation has approved an investment of approximately 24.5 billion rupees (US$256 million) in the construction of a natural gas pipeline. As part of the project, the company will build and operate the natural gas pipeline from Kochi to Thuthukudi. The pipeline system has a gas transmission capacity of 6.84 million standard cubic meters per day.
