In the bribery case, the defendant Song Chaohua was sentenced to death for accepting bribes, with a two-year suspended execution, deprived of political rights for life, and all personal property was confiscated; the property and interest obtained by Song Chaohua from the crime of accepting bribes were recovered in accordance with the law and turned over to the state treasury. The trial found that: from 1993 to 2025, the defendant Song Chaohua used his position as member of the Standing Committee of the Dayi County Party Committee, Director of the Organization Department, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee, Acting County Mayor, Secretary of the County Party Committee, Secretary of the Xinjin County Party Committee, Secretary of the Chenghua District Party Committee of Chengdu City, Deputy Secretary of the Meishan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Nanchong City from 1993 to 2025.
