The latest data shows that in 2025, China's electrification rate will be approximately 29.5%, an increase of 1.4 percentage points from the previous year, ranking among the top in the world. China has become the main power source of the global electrification process. Since 2015, it has contributed more than 80% to the growth of the world's electrification rate. In terms of regions, the electrification rates in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta region, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle reached approximately 23.0%, 34.6%, 41.1%, and 30.2% respectively, which were 0.8, 1.5, 1.2, and 1.0 percentage points higher than the previous year. The electrification rates in all provinces across the country achieved positive growth. At present, the proportion of China's electricity in final energy consumption is 3.1 percentage points higher than that of coal, which not only reflects China's increasing power supply capacity, but also reflects the accelerated pace of China's energy green and low-carbon transformation.
