[China's first island-circling natural gas pipeline network, Hainan Pipeline Network's cumulative gas transmission exceeds 35 billion cubic meters] On September 23, reporters learned from the National Pipeline Network Group that China's first island-circling natural gas pipeline network, the Hainan Pipeline Network, has cumulative gas transmission exceeding 35 billion cubic meters, providing solid support for the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the construction of a clean energy island. The total mileage of Hainan's round-island pipeline network is 899 kilometers. It consists of four backbone pipelines: Sanya-Dongfang, Dongfang-Yangpu-Haikou, Haikou-Wenchang, and Wenchang-Qionghai-Sanya. It has 14 process stations and 42 valve chambers. It passes through 14 cities and counties including Haikou, Sanya, Danzhou, Dongfang, Wenchang, and Qionghai. It benefits a population of more than 10 million and mainly supplies gas to gas power plants, industrial users, and urban gas customers. So far, Hainan's round-island pipeline network has transported more than 35 billion cubic meters of clean natural gas, which is equivalent to replacing about 46.6 million tons of coal, which is equivalent to reducing dust emissions by more than 25.4 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions by more than 51.2 million tons. It has injected strong momentum into the green and low-carbon development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
