[Novo Nordisk CEO: Open to direct listing in the United States] On September 23, it was reported that Novo Nordisk CEO Mike Doustdar said in an interview that as the company seeks to increase its visibility in the United States, the company is open to upgrading the New York listing form to a direct listing, but there is currently no active discussion on this move. Doustdar reportedly sees "some advantages" in replacing Novo Nordisk's ADRs with a direct listing on the New York Stock Exchange, following a similar move by AstraZeneca earlier this year. The U.S. market contributes more than half of Novo Nordisk's revenue and represents a growing share of its investor base, making it increasingly strategically important for the drugmaker.
