[Central Mortgage: Hong Kong banks’ subsidized housing mortgage registrations rose 54% month-on-month in August 2-month high】On September 23, Wang Meifeng, managing director of Centaline Mortgage, said that according to data from the Centaline Mortgage Research Department and the Land Registry, Hong Kong banks recorded a total of 3,093 subsidized housing mortgage registrations in August 2026, a significant increase of 54.3% from the 2,005 cases in July, setting a two-month high; the increase was mainly due to the fact that multiple medium and large-scale home ownership projects have entered the launch period, driving a significant increase in mortgage registrations during the month.
