[New car registrations in Europe increased to 832,600 units in August, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%] On September 24, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) released data showing that in August 2026, new car registrations in the EU, European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the United Kingdom were 832,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, and 791,100 units in the same period last year. In the first eight months of 2026, the cumulative number of new car registrations in the region reached 9.1925 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%.
