[BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. recalls some imported cars] September 24th, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products". Recall number S2026M0119V: Starting from November 1, 2026, some imported 5 Series cars produced between March 15, 2021 and January 27, 2023 will be recalled, a total of 4,651 vehicles; recall in 2023 Some imported 7 Series cars produced between June 21 and January 9, 2025, a total of 27 vehicles; some imported 8 Series cars produced between March 15, 2021 and November 25, 2025, a total of 2,403 vehicles are recalled. For vehicles within the scope of this recall, the longitudinal spline connection between the drive shaft and the rear axle differential may suffer from excessive wear of the spline tooth surfaces after long-term use. In extreme cases, the spline connection will fail, and power cannot be effectively transmitted to the rear axle differential, resulting in power interruption to the rear axle, posing safety risks. BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will inspect the longitudinal spline wear between the drive shaft and the rear axle differential for the vehicles within the recall scope free of charge, and replace the drive shaft and/or rear axle differential if necessary; it will also apply special adhesive to all vehicles for bonding and sealing when reinstalling to eliminate safety hazards.
