[Four departments organized key trucks, buses, special vehicles, trailers and motorcycle manufacturers to hold discussions: resolutely resist irrational competition and guard the bottom line of product safety] On September 24th, the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Transportation Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, the Atmospheric Environment Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the Quality Development Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation recently organized key truck, passenger cars, special vehicles, trailers and motorcycle manufacturers to hold discussions to inform vehicle product safety situations and deploy key tasks such as product safety hazard investigation and supervision and inspection. The meeting required that automobile and motorcycle manufacturers must thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, implement the work requirements of special actions for quality improvement, resolutely resist irrational competition, maintain the bottom line of product safety, and maintain fair competition market order. First, we must firmly shoulder the main responsibility for product safety, enhance compliance awareness, declare product access in strict accordance with the management requirements of the "Announcement", and resolutely resist illegal modifications, "large tons with small labels", "big cans with small labels" and other illegal activities. The second is to carry out in-depth investigation of potential product safety risks, compare with relevant management requirements, systematically find problems in the production consistency, reliability, durability and testing verification of the company's own and key component suppliers' products, and conscientiously carry out rectification work. The third is to strengthen the ability to ensure product production consistency, improve the system of certificate management and other systems, strengthen the incoming inspection of key parts and complete vehicle off-line inspection, improve the production process records, realize the traceability of key links, and ensure that the complete vehicle products produced in batches comply with relevant national standards and management requirements, and are consistent with the parameters of the type-approved models in the "Announcement". The fourth is to strengthen vehicle functional test verification and safety assessment, enhance R&D test verification capabilities, fully evaluate vehicle safety performance, and strictly prohibit "radical innovation" that pursues hot topics and lacks scenario verification, as well as "illegal structures" suspected of illegal modification, overloading and overloading, from entering the vehicle.
