[Death toll in Indonesian passenger ship capsizing accident rises to 42] September 24th, Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency said on the 24th that the recent passenger ship capsizing accident in the Java Sea has killed 42 people, 93 others were missing, and 108 people were rescued. The search and rescue agency said the bodies of the victims have been sent to Banyan City in South Kalimantan province for identification. In order to prevent marine pollution, the fuel of the wrecked passenger ship must be drained before the hull salvage can be carried out. The relevant operations will start in three months at the earliest. (CCTV News)
