[Nanexa and Novo Nordisk reach a 1.165 billion euro global licensing and cooperation agreement for long-acting injections] On September 25th, Swedish drug delivery platform company Nanexa announced that it has reached an exclusive global licensing and cooperation agreement with Novo Nordisk to use the PharmaShell technology platform to target certain peptide drugs targeting obesity, type 2 diabetes and other cardiometabolic indications. The agreement includes up to five development projects and covers different dosing frequency regimens, with monthly and quarterly dosing targeted. Novo Nordisk will lead global development and commercialization, and Nanexa is eligible to receive total payments of up to €1.165 billion, including an upfront payment of €615 million and development and regulatory milestone payments. The remaining milestone payments are sales milestone payments. In addition, Nanexa is eligible to receive low-single-digit percentage royalties on global net sales of products developed under the agreement.
