September 25th, Japanese Finance Minister Katayama Satsuki said that Takaichi Sanae is "not a reflationist" and that Takaichi Sanae respects the independence of the Bank of Japan; the rise in bond yields is a global trend and is temporary. Katayama Satsuki also said that he would not hesitate to take bold actions against the yen.
