In the first half of the year, the growth rates of newly established foreign-invested enterprises in major export provinces such as Hainan, Shandong, Guangdong, and Jiangsu were 38.6%, 15.2%, 8.1%, and 6.8% respectively; the growth rates of newly established foreign-invested enterprises in border provinces such as Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, and Jilin reached 79.5%, 29.1%, 16.6%, and 12.0% respectively. Looking at the countries of origin, the number of new enterprises established in China by countries co-building the “Belt and Road” has increased across the board. In the first half of the year, a total of 11,000 new companies were established in China by the countries co-building the "Belt and Road", Arab countries, and African Union countries, an increase of 19.3%, 20.6%, and 42.8% respectively. This effectively offset the impact of the decrease in the number of new companies established in China by the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. The declines in the number of new companies established in China by the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan were 10.7%, 21.4%, and 34.9% respectively.
