[Proven deep coalbed methane field of 100 billion cubic meters in the Ordos Basin] September 27th, the reporter learned from PetroChina today that the newly added proven geological reserves of coalbed methane in the Sanjiaobei block in Luliang, Shanxi Province exceeded 100 billion cubic meters, marking another key step in the exploration and development of deep coalbed methane in China, adding new confidence to ensure national energy security. The Sanjiaobei block is located in the eastern Ordos Basin, with a contiguous gas-bearing area of 411.5 square kilometers and a coal seam burial depth of 1,900 to 2,150 meters.
