Shangyuan Surface Water Plant, the Hutuo River Water Supply Project, an important component of the second horizontal line of Shanxi's modern water network "Three Verticals and Nine Horizontals", has officially provided water to Taiyuan City. As the backbone water network project constructed by Wanjiazhai Water Holding Group Co., Ltd., the Hutuo River water supply project consists of two parts: the Qingshui River water source project and the water supply project. The total length of the water supply line is about 82 kilometers, spanning Wutai County, Dingxiang County, Xinfu District of Xinzhou City and Yangqu County of Taiyuan City. The project starts from the water collection corridor of the Qingshui River water source in Wutai County. Along the way, it passes through three stages of pressurization and lifting at Lijiazhuang Pumping Station, Zhijun Pumping Station, and Shangzuo Pumping Station. The cumulative total lift is 468 meters. The water is finally transported to the Shangyuan Surface Water Plant in Yangqu County at the end. The annual water diversion capacity can reach 30 million cubic meters.
