[European Interior Ministers discuss strengthening border control] September 27th, the interior ministers of many European countries and EU officials held a meeting in Germany on September 26 to discuss issues such as strengthening border control and improving emergency response capabilities. German Interior Minister Dobrindt called for the establishment of a rapid repatriation procedure in the EU at the meeting to deal with the large number of illegal immigrants entering the Spanish enclave of Ceuta since the end of July. According to data recently released by the Spanish government, there are still about 10,000 illegal immigrants stranded in Ceuta.
