[Vertical lift manned aircraft makes first test flight in Hong Kong] August 29th, the eVTOL vertical lift aircraft successfully completed a test flight in Hong Kong SAR, China yesterday. The project was previously selected as the first batch of non-traditional aircraft pilot projects under the Hong Kong SAR government’s low-altitude economic “Regulatory Sandbox X”. Reporters at the scene saw that the aircraft had a stable attitude during vertical lift-off, hovered in the air for a period of time and then slowly descended. The entire take-off and landing movements were smooth and coherent, and finally landed safely. According to representatives from R&D companies, the aircraft tested this time is a flagship manned product, mainly aimed at solving problems such as urban traffic congestion and long ground commuting times, and will be used in manned travel scenarios in the future.
