["Dream" successfully completed test drilling in the South China Sea and drilled basalt samples from the deep ocean basin] On September 28, we learned from the China Geological Survey of the Ministry of Natural Resources that recently, the "Dream" ocean drilling ship successfully completed the test drilling mission in the South China Sea and successfully drilled basalt samples from the South China Sea basin. This also marks that China has become the third country in the world to successfully drill hard rock samples from deep ocean basins using drilling ships.
