[Seven departments: By 2030, all-solid-state batteries will initially achieve large-scale application] On September 28, the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of New Battery Industry" jointly formulated by seven departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Transport was officially released (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"). The "Plan" proposes to coordinate development and safety, with the theme of promoting high-quality development, to accelerate the construction of a new battery industry system that is innovation-led, safe, efficient, resilient, smart and green, to promote a comprehensive improvement in the level of technological innovation, product added value, corporate competitiveness, and industrial chain modernization, and to provide strong support for the development of new productivity and the advancement of new industrialization. The goal is that by 2030, the scale of China's new battery industry will achieve steady growth; the innovation capabilities of the entire chain will continue to increase, new breakthroughs will be made in advanced materials, new system battery research and development will make significant progress, all-solid-state batteries will initially achieve large-scale application, the cycle life of long-life lithium batteries will reach 15,000 times, and the product defect rate of leading companies will reach the PPB (parts per billion) level; the construction of a full-scenario application ecosystem will be accelerated, battery technology, clean energy, and energy-consuming terminals will accelerate the integration of innovation and development; the integration of international trade and investment will be further advanced to serve global green and low-carbon development.
