[Barclays: The UK attracted nearly 10 billion pounds of foreign investment into high-growth companies in the first half of 2026] September 28th, new research from Barclays Bank and Bohurst found that global investors continue to support the UK’s most ambitious companies, with foreign-backed equity investments amounting to nearly 10 billion pounds in the first half of 2026. The report "Financing the Future: How the UK Mobilizes Global Growth Capital to Drive Innovation" found that between 2016 and the first half of 2026, transactions involving foreign investors accounted for less than 10% of UK equity transactions, but brought more than half of the total financing value, equivalent to £127 billion.
