[Our Embassy in Nepal: Has coordinated Nepal’s search, rescue and transfer of 94 Chinese personnel] August 30th, according to news from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal on August 30, after serious mudslides and floods occurred in Nepal, our embassy immediately activated the emergency response mechanism for security emergencies and fully carried out emergency response work. The embassy immediately contacted Chinese-funded enterprises and other personnel in the relevant areas to verify the safety status of the personnel, guide the enterprises in resettlement and comfort work, and sent working groups to the disaster areas to coordinate rescue operations. Our embassy attaches great importance to and makes every effort to protect the safety of Chinese citizens, and actively coordinates the use of helicopters by the Nigerian side to step up the rescue and transfer of trapped Chinese people.
