[AI can screen out type 2 diabetes with high probability using 20 seconds of voice] On September 30, scientists from Australia’s Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and other institutions have developed a new AI model that can screen for type 2 diabetes in just 20 seconds of voice. This largest study of its kind shows that AI-based short speech analysis has the potential to become a fast, non-invasive, and scalable disease screening tool. Relevant papers were recently announced at the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes in Milan, Italy.
