[Ministry of Commerce: An additional 55% tariff will be imposed on imported beef from Brazil starting from midnight on October 1] On September 30, the Ministry of Commerce announced that the beef imported from Brazil under the beef safeguard measures on September 29, 2026 had reached 100% of the country’s specified quantity specified in the Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 87 of 2025. According to the Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 87 of 2025, starting from the third day after the import quantity of Brazilian beef reaches 100% of the specified quantity (from midnight on October 1), beef imported from the country will be subject to an additional 55% tariff on the basis of the current applicable tariff rate.
