[Winter is approaching, Germany requires state-owned energy company SEFE to increase natural gas reserves] September 30th, the German government has instructed state-owned energy company SEFE to purchase and store natural gas in the next few weeks. Given that current inventory levels are unusually low, the region is under pressure to increase reserves ahead of winter. SEFE said in an emailed statement that it has been told to inject 8 terawatt hours of natural gas into the gas storage facility by December 15.
