[Toronto-Dominion Bank of Canada plans to launch a C$10 billion stock repurchase plan] On September 30, Canada's Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) announced that it plans to launch a new stock repurchase plan, with a repurchase scale of up to C$10 billion, not exceeding 61 million common shares, and is expected to be completed by July 2027. The plan represents approximately 3.74% of the company's outstanding common shares as of August 31, 2026. TD Bank said the new buyback program requires approval from the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) of Canada. Previously, the company completed a stock repurchase of CAD 7 billion on September 25, repurchasing 47.2 million shares.
