On October 1, people familiar with the matter revealed that the German government has raised its economic growth forecast for 2026 to 1.3%, higher than the 0.5% forecast in April. The economic growth forecast for 2027 was raised to 1.1%, up from the 0.9% forecast in April. The economy is expected to grow by 0.6% in 2028.
