Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Ma Zhaoxu said that since the launch of APEC's "Year of China" process, all parties have conducted in-depth discussions to further build consensus on building an Asia-Pacific community and initially formed the "four beams and eight pillars" of the Asia-Pacific community, which has injected new impetus into regional economic integration. China will serve as a good host and work with all APEC parties to focus on practical cooperation and inclusive development, build on the outcomes of the leaders’ informal meeting, and promote the building of the Asia-Pacific community in depth and substance.
