[China's U23 men's football team defeated Uzbekistan and won the bronze medal in the Asian Games] On October 3, the men's football bronze medal match at the Aichi Nagoya Asian Games started at Toyota Stadium. The Chinese U23 men's football team defeated the Uzbekistan's U23 men's football team in a penalty shootout and won the bronze medal in this event. After winning the U23 Asian Cup runner-up at the beginning of this year, this nationally-branded men's football team once again brought surprises to Chinese fans. Data statistics show that since the 2002 Asian Games was reorganized and the U23 team won the competition, the Chinese Asian Games men’s football team has never reached the semi-finals. In the previous six tournaments, the Chinese Asian Games men's football team stopped in the top 16 three times and the top eight three times. Although the performance of the adult national football team in recent years has been unsatisfactory, the bronze medal this time is enough to add confidence to the revitalization of Chinese football.
