[Pakistan Foreign Ministry summons Indian Charge d'Affaires over the killing of two Pakistani civilians] On October 3, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement stating that the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Indian Charge d'Affaires to lodge a strong protest with India over the shooting and killing of two Pakistani civilians by Indian Border Security Force personnel on the India-Pakistan border on October 2, 2026. The statement stated that Indian border security force personnel used unprovoked lethal force against civilians. There was absolutely no justification for this use of force. Pakistan categorically rejects any attempt to describe the deceased as "infiltrators". Pakistan requires India to immediately launch a transparent and credible investigation into the incident, take appropriate disciplinary and legal actions against those found responsible, and formally notify the Pakistani government of the investigation results and measures taken.
