[International Energy Agency: About 325 million barrels of strategic oil reserves have been released] On October 3, the International Energy Agency recently issued an announcement showing that of the 400 million barrels of strategic oil reserves that the agency announced in March this year, it has so far released approximately 325 million barrels. Fatih Birol, Director of the International Energy Agency, participated in a video conference of G7 leaders convened by French President Macron on the 2nd to discuss the global energy market situation. Birol said at the meeting that the strategic petroleum reserves that have been released account for more than 80% of the total amount promised to be released. Under the current circumstances, the above measures have played an important role in filling the supply gap and stabilizing market confidence. The Elysee Palace, the French presidential palace, issued a statement on the 2nd that the G7 member states will coordinate the release of 100 million barrels of strategic oil reserves through the International Energy Agency to ease the pressure on the international energy market. Relevant actions will start immediately and last for four months. In the first 20 days, large amounts of diesel reserves will be released intensively. According to French media reports, the G7 did not clarify whether the 100 million barrels of reserves include the 75 million barrels that have not yet been released in the International Energy Agency's commitment in March, or whether it is an additional release on this basis.
