[Three days before the National Day holiday Duty-free shopping on Hainan’s outlying islands exceeded 350 million yuan] October 4th, according to statistics from Haikou Customs, from October 1st to 3rd, three days before the 2026 National Day holiday, Haikou Customs supervised a total of 358 million yuan in duty-free shopping on outlying islands in Hainan, with 55,100 people participating in shopping, and 277,000 duty-free items purchased on outlying islands, an increase of 8.85%, 12.90%, and 8.02% respectively over the same period in 2025.
