[Kepler: Middle East crude oil exports at the end of September exceeded pre-Iran war levels] October 5th, data released by the international market service organization Kepler Company on October 5 showed that although a ship was attacked while crossing the Strait of Hormuz, in 4 of the 7 days in the last week of September, the Middle East crude oil exports exceeded the level before the outbreak of the Iranian war. According to Reuters, preliminary data from Kepler showed that crude oil exports from the Middle East rose to between 19.5 million barrels per day and 22.5 million barrels per day on September 24 and between September 27 and 29. In the year before the outbreak of the war in Iran, from March 2025 to February this year, the region's crude oil exports averaged 18 million barrels per day. The above data does not include the carrying capacity of ships with automatic identification systems (AIS) turned off.
