[The Israeli government issues a travel warning to remind overseas citizens to guard against potential security risks] On October 6th, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued an official notice through social media on the 6th local time, stating that on the occasion of the third anniversary of the outbreak of a new round of Palestinian-Israeli conflict on October 7, 2023, overseas Israeli citizens are reminded to increase their security awareness to deal with potential attack risks and demonstrations.
The notice stated that relevant security assessments show that as the anniversary of the outbreak of the conflict approaches, the risk of overseas attack plots against Israeli and Jewish targets has increased. Some regional armed organizations and extremist forces regard this node as a symbolic moment for their activities.
The notice puts forward a number of prevention suggestions to the public, including avoiding traveling to Jordan, Qatar, Egypt (including the Sinai Peninsula) and other countries and regions listed by Israel as high-risk travel warnings; minimizing the use of Hebrew in crowded places; avoiding publicizing overseas itineraries on social networks or uploading content related to their security force service experience. In addition, the notice also called on overseas citizens to stay away from demonstrations and gatherings in various places. (CCTV News)
