On October 7, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported that global oil production is expected to be 101.1 million barrels per day in 2026, an increase from the previous forecast of 100.6 million barrels per day; production in 2027 is expected to be 109.6 million barrels per day (previously 109.9 million barrels per day).
