[China’s central bank increased its gold holdings for the 23rd consecutive month] On October 7, China’s gold reserves at the end of September were at 77.47 million ounces (about 2409.59 tons), an increase of 740,000 ounces (about 23.02 tons) from the previous month. At the end of August, China’s gold reserves were at 76.73 million ounces (about 2386.57 tons). The People's Bank of China has increased its gold holdings for the 23rd consecutive month.
