[China implements medical rehabilitation and nursing capacity expansion and improvement project] October 8th, recently, with the approval of the State Council, the National Health Commission and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the Medical Rehabilitation and Nursing Capacity Expansion and Improvement Project". The "Plan" focuses on expanding medical rehabilitation nursing resources and improving medical rehabilitation nursing service capabilities, and proposes 13 tasks and measures in 6 parts. It is an important document to guide the construction and development of the medical rehabilitation nursing service system. It is proposed to focus on "capacity expansion, quality improvement, balance and continuity", insist on doing our best, within our capabilities, adapting measures to local conditions, and implement steadily, focusing on the grassroots level to coordinate and increase the supply of medical rehabilitation nursing resources, further improve service capabilities, and effectively enhance the accessibility of rehabilitation nursing services for urban and rural residents. The work goal is that by 2030, significant results will be achieved in the expansion and upgrading of medical rehabilitation and nursing care, and a service system with complete functions, top-down linkage, integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and efficient and accessible service system will be basically established to better meet the health needs of the entire population, in all aspects, and throughout the life cycle.
