[Over 60% of Hungarian people support Budapest’s bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games] On October 8, according to the Hungarian News Agency’s report on the 7th, a recent survey conducted by the Hungarian polling agency Median showed that 64% of the respondents expressed “complete support” or “somewhat support” Budapest’s bid to host the 2036 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Budapest had bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, but withdrew in 2017 amid controversy over a petition campaign against the bid.
