[Related to the National Standards for Self-Inspection of Health Food Manufacturing Enterprises, National Standards Publicly Solicited for Opinions] October 8th, reporters learned today that the national standard "Specifications for Self-Inspection of Quality Management Systems of Health Food Manufacturing Enterprises" was publicly solicited for opinions on the National Standard Information Public Service Platform. This standard stipulates the basic requirements for self-inspection of the quality management system of health food manufacturers, the frequency and method of self-inspection, self-inspection procedures and reporting requirements. The standard unifies the frequency of self-inspections. Health food manufacturers should conduct self-inspections at least once every six months. Enterprises whose production and processing processes include fermentation, synthesis, and enzymatic hydrolysis should conduct self-inspections at least once every quarter. Enterprises should also conduct special self-inspections in a timely manner after major changes in production conditions, resumption of production after shutdown, unqualified sampling, food safety accidents, or major public opinion. At the same time, the standard unifies the entire process of self-examination preparation, implementation, result processing, correction and improvement, and data archiving, and provides unified self-examination forms and self-inspection report requirements in normative appendices. This standard will provide a unified technical basis for health food manufacturers to carry out self-examination of quality management systems, promote enterprises to implement their main responsibilities for food safety, and also provide support for industry authorities to strengthen risk prevention and control and implement full-chain supervision.
