On October 8, the U.S. Department of Defense announced that it had signed a conditional loan agreement worth US$150 million with quantum computing company PsiQuantum. The Pentagon also announced a total of US$350 million in quantum computing-related initiatives and plans to invest US$200 million in Cloud Labs in fiscal year 2028.
