[Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission: Hong Kong Exchange will release a discussion paper on extending stock trading hours] On October 9, Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Chief Executive Liang Fengyi delivered a speech at the Asian Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) meeting on Friday, saying that Hong Kong Exchange will release a discussion paper on extending trading hours in the fourth quarter. Over time, longer transactions can be supported using tokenized currencies and digital Hong Kong dollar settlement. HKEx will release the consultation conclusions on T+1 settlement as soon as possible and determine the target implementation date.
