The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the cultural and tourism market conditions during the 2026 National Day holiday on October 9. According to calculations by the data center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during the seven-day holiday, there were 826 million domestic trips across the country, and the total domestic travel expenditure was 738.375 billion yuan, an increase of 6.3% and 4.3% respectively year-on-year in 2025 on a comparable basis (daily average).
