[Alice responds to the failure of overseas phase III clinical studies: it will not affect the sales of fumetinib] On October 9, Ellis responded to Jiemian News about the overseas clinical failure of its core product fumetinib, saying that the FURVENT research data needs to be analyzed in depth to determine subsequent development and regulatory communication plans. The company believes that the results of this FURVENT study will not affect the sales of fumetinib in the third quarter and in the future. The current sales of the drug mainly come from the first-line treatment indication of EGFR sensitive mutations. Ellis said that at the subsequent global investigator meeting of the FURVENT study, experts believed that fumetinib achieved previous expectations for its efficacy against EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations. There was a big difference between the progression-free survival evaluated by blinded independent center review in the chemotherapy group and the results assessed by the investigators. Apart from this difference, other data of fumetinib performed well.
