[Zimbabwe says there is no reason to postpone the lithium concentrate export ban] October 9th, Zimbabwe stated that there is no reason to postpone the lithium concentrate export ban scheduled to take effect in January next year. Zimbabwe’s Information Minister Nick Manguana said that the country’s lithium mining companies have sufficient time to prepare for the local processing deadline of January 2027. Zimbabwe is following the lead of other African countries in seeking higher value added from its natural resources.
