[European Union Aviation Safety Agency expands the scope of safety warnings for Saudi airspace] October 9th, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency stated on the 9th that in view of the recent attacks by Yemen’s Houthi armed forces on targets in Saudi Arabia such as Riyadh Airport, the agency updated the safety warnings for Saudi Arabia’s airspace that day, expanding the range of airspace that airline operators are advised to avoid flying. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency issued a safety warning for Saudi Arabia's airspace for the first time on September 30, advising air operators not to fly at any altitude in the part of Saudi Arabia's airspace it demarcates. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency pointed out in an announcement updated on the 9th that recent attacks show that the Houthis have the ability and intention to attack targets deeper in Saudi Arabia, including the capital Riyadh and other places.
